Why Local Actually Matters Here
South Florida is hard on garage doors in ways most of the country never
deals with. Salt air corrodes springs, cables and hardware faster near the
coast. Humidity swells wood and seizes bearings on doors that sit unused. And
wind-load requirements change by county and by how close you are to the
water.
A crew that works here every day checks for rust at the drums before it
becomes a snapped cable, knows which approvals your building department will
actually accept, and knows that a canal-front house in Fort Lauderdale needs
the same hardware spec as an oceanfront one.
Do you charge a trip fee outside your main area?
Estimates are free across all three counties. If a job is far enough out that travel affects the price, you hear that number before we book, not after we arrive.
My town isn't on the list. Do you still cover it?
Almost certainly. The lists are the places we get asked about most, not the boundary. If you're anywhere in Miami-Dade, Broward or Palm Beach, call (754) 300-8430 and we'll confirm in ten seconds.
Why does the county matter for a garage door?
Because the building code changes at the county line. Miami-Dade and Broward are in the High Velocity Hurricane Zone and their doors must meet impact standards; Palm Beach County is outside it and uses statewide Florida Product Approval. Salt exposure and housing stock differ too. Each county page explains what applies where you live.
Do you cover commercial as well as residential?
Yes — rolling steel, sectional and high-cycle commercial doors across all three counties, alongside residential work.
